I was hoping to see on this upgrade the ability to see Chromebook Apps on this screen. All I see is browser tabs still. Is that coming? Am I not looking in the right place?

Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately, the ability to see and close applications is only available on Windows devices, not Chromebooks. You can follow the status of the suggestion here:

When will admins have the ability to clear students from the teacher scene?

Thank you for your comment! We just released a new feature that allows super users to log in as any teacher, and both can be logged in at the same time during a class session. If you log in as a teacher, you can select a student and exclude them from the class session. This would remove the student from any scene the teacher has applied to the class! Is there an option to type in the time you want a session to run until? That would be easier than scrolling through a list; unfortunately, "scheduling" doesn't work for our rotating class schedule. Alternatively, being able to create a set of "End Time Pre-sets" would be nice as well.

Thanks for all your work on these updates!

Thank you for the comment! When you start a session you have the option to enter a custom end time. You can also edit this during the session by clicking on the time remaining. Take a look at this article for more information:

As far as having preset end times, we love that suggestion! You can follow the status of that request here:

I would like to have a record of the chats I've had with students for data and accountability purposes.

An In School Suspension option would be very helpful. The ability to move a student for the entire day, not just one session and have that override any teacher scenes would make monitoring students in ISS manageable.

In the meantime, we just released a feature that would allow super users to remove a student from one session at a time via the "Log in as" feature. If you log in as a teacher, you can select a student and exclude that student from the class session. This would remove the student from any scene the teacher has applied to the class! Thank you for your comment! You can log into your GoGuardian Teacher dashboard from any device using the browser. We find that many teachers use their phone to log in and check on their classes while they are away at conferences. Some have suggested that we create an app for teachers to use for a better experience on mobile devices. You can follow the status of that request here:

Could the Chat feature be on by default instead of having to turn in on manually?

Thank you for your suggestion! It would be nice if teachers could choose whether chat is on or off as their default. Follow the status of that request here:

My school uses Chromebooks, and it is easy to add an entire roster to my GoGuardian class. However, some students have started bringing in their 'own devices,' Macs and other laptops in order to circumvent GoGuardian. How do I get them onto my class so I can access their screens? Thank you

Thank you for reaching out! Students would have to sign in to the Chrome browser with their school account in order to be monitored. So long as you've already added their school account email address to your GoGuardian classroom, and they log in to the Chrome browser, you should be able to monitor them. This works for both Apple computers and other laptops. However, since it is not a school-issued device, there is no way to stop them from logging out of the Chrome browser or opening up a different browser (other than Chrome), or an incognito window, where their activities can't be monitored. We always recommend making sure that students use school-issued devices, because the settings are configured in such a way so that students can not circumvent GoGuardian.
